The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has recently revised its visa exemption policy for citizens of 87 countries, allowing them to enter the country without needing a pre-entry visa. This update aims to simplify the visa process for tourists and encourage travel to the UAE. Under the new policy, visitors to the UAE can obtain a valid entry visa for 30 days on arrival, with an additional 10-day grace period.

Following the update, citizens of 110 countries will require a valid visa before arriving in the UAE.
Additionally, citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries do not need to apply for a visa or sponsorship when entering the UAE. A GCC-issued passport or ID card is sufficient for entry. It’s worth noting that in 2022, the UAE offered visa-on-arrival facilities to only 73 countries.
