Having arrived from Frankfurt, we needed to first transit in Munich before boarding our onward connection to Oslo (LH2452). Our connecting itinerary gave us just 40 minutes from arrival to departure. The inbound flight had been scheduled to arrive at 08:10, while my onward boarding pass showed that the next flight’s boarding started at 08:10.
My experience of connecting flights typically includes additional security checks at a minimum, if not also a passport check. This wasn’t the case at Munich Airport (MUC).
Transiting Munich Airport
The Lufthansa app has a wayfinding function at both Frankfurt and Munich Airport. Our incoming flight arrived at gate 28, while our outgoing flight departed from gate 14. The map shows that both were on the same part of the terminal, and the journey between the two was as simple as turning right and then walking down the concourse. The journey should take 5 minutes to cover on foot. Notably, there were no additional checks to clear.
