Audacious Australian startup airline Bonza has added another destination and two routes to its initial network. Tamworth Regional Airport has sealed a deal with Bonza to host Boeing MAX 8 flights to Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast. Bonza’s arrival in Tamworth will take the number of airlines flying to the regional city to three and the number of city pairs the airport offers to four.

While not yet fixing a start date (Bonza is yet to secure its air operator’s certificate and see its first MAX 8s land), on Tuesday the airline’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer Tim Jordan confirmed the Melbourne (MEL) – Tamworth (TMW) and Maroochydore/Sunshine Coast (MCY) – Tamworth routes. It takes the number of destinations Bonza will initially serve to 17 and the number of routes to 27.
