The airline industry is anticipated to yield record revenue of $996 billion this year due to increasing demand for travel. However, earnings are minimal, with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) predicting total costs of $936 billion, equating to around $6.14 earnings per passenger. In an effort to increase profits, more airlines are adapting dynamic pricing tech, which adjusts fares and services prices based on a customer’s willingness to pay. Although customers have not received this favorably, the number of carriers using dynamic pricing has gone up to 258 from 220 in 2022 according to ATPCO, the travel industry group.
