Germany-based Hahn Air and Winding Tree have partnered to fly
passengers using blockchain-powered tickets – the first such use case for Winding
Tree’s open-source travel distribution platform.
Using those tickets on the flight Monday from Dusseldorf to
Luxembourg were Winding Tree founder Maksim Izmaylov, Winding Tree CIO David
Montali and Hahn Air head of sales engineering Frederick Nowotny.
Hahn Air says Winding Tree’s platform enables it to list
inventory, manage the reservation request and receive payments via cash, credit
card or cryptocurrency (Winding Tree’s LIF token or Ether).
