DURHAM – Duke swimming and diving sophomore Sarah Foley has been named Duke’s PNC Achievers Student-Athlete of the Week following her performances in Duke’s meet against Tennessee and Queens University of Charlotte on Saturday.
Foley led the Duke women’s team in the meet against No. 6 Tennessee and top-ranked Division II side Queens. Duke split the meet, topping Queens, 192-62, but coming up short to Tennessee, 167-94.
A native of Philadelphia, Pa., she placed first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:13.33 and second in the 100 breaststroke, touching in 1:02.25. She finished second in the 200 individual medley in 2:01.36. Foley also was a member of Duke’s 200 medley relay team that placed second in the meet (1:39.61).
