Mobility-as-a-service provider Iomob (the Internet of Mobility) is to launch a new “seamless” ground transport mobility platform later this year.
The UK and Spain-based company has been working on the technology for more than three years, including running several pilot schemes, which can be integrated into existing mobility and transport websites and apps to allow them to offer third-party connections.
The platform, which will have a focus on sustainable travel options, will allow passengers to book and pay for a door-to-door journey involving several different modes of transport on a single app or website. Options include taxis, ride-hailing, parking, bicycles, e-scooters, car share and rental.
