Day 1 of the second virtual edition of the Travel, Tourism & Hospitality E-Conclave: Resilience & The Road to Recovery was inaugurated by Shri G Kishan Reddy, Union Cabinet Minister of Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region. With over 1500 registered participants, the virtual session focussed on the future of the travel industry in India.
In his opening remarks, the Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, spoke about India’s diverse cultural heritage and the ways in which our natural landscape offers a range of travel and tourism opportunities. “India holds a huge advantage considering our natural and industrial wealth,” he said. “Good industrial connectivity, a large English-speaking population in India, diverse heritage with forty UNESCO listed sites, rich and unique wildlife, a huge variety of seasons-we have jungles, mountains, beaches, deserts and megacities.
