On June 18, 2024, a new whistleblower emerged ahead of the testimony of Boeing CEO, Dave Calhoun. The whistleblower, a quality assurance inspector from Renton, Washington, has accused Boeing of mismanaging faulty parts tracking and storage. He alleges these possibly defective components were fitted onto aircraft, including the 737 Max.
The claims don’t stop there, the inspector said his superiors commanded him to hide evidence from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and that he experienced retaliation after that. Boeing responded by offering to fly the whistleblower to Washington, D.C., specifically on a 737 MAX 9. As the accusations emerge, it appears that there could be up to 10 more potential whistleblowers.
