Restoring the number of flights to Guam, especially from Korea, is critical to relaunching the local tourism industry, according to a Guam Tourism Situation report and short-term recovery plan.
The plan by a group of industry executives and stakeholders, presented to the Guam Visitors Bureau during a board meeting last week, said airline incentives are critical to regaining seats, which plunged from 54,000 in January 2024, down to 30,000 per month currently.
