Jaipur: A slump in tourist arrivals during the festive month of Diwali has sent jitters through the hospitality industry, which is in overdrive to add more hotels and capture a larger share of the growing seasonal wedding market.
In destinations like Jaipur, Udaipur, and Jaisalmer, tourist footfalls declined by 25%-50% during October compared to the same month last year, even though demand picked up slightly just a few days before Diwali.
