Air Canada and Amadeus will enable access to New Distribution Capability (NDC) content through the Amadeus Travel Platform, using Altéa NDC, a step described by Air Canada as creating “new retailing opportunities”. Air Canada content will also be available to corporations and travel sellers using the platform. The move will allow customers and agents to access greater choice, offering more travel options and services at the best prices via a local independent travel agency or a large management provider. Over the last 10 years, Amadeus and Air Canada have introduced a new reservation system, website and mobile app functionality, expanded loyalty shopping facilities and connectivity with partner airlines.
