Air India announced on Tuesday that, due to Middle East tensions, flights to and from Tel Aviv would now be suspended till May 15. The airline announced on April 19 that it would not be operating any flights to Tel Aviv until April 30. There are four weekly flights from Delhi to the Israeli city.
According to Air India, the temporary suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv has been extended until May 15 in light of the ongoing situation in some parts of the Middle East.
“We are continuously monitoring the situation and are extending support to our passengers who have confirmed bookings for travel to and from Tel Aviv during this period, with a one-time waiver on rescheduling and cancellation charges,” the airline said in a statement.

Because of the conflict between Israel and the Hamas organisation, tensions in the Middle East are still very high. On March 3, the airline owned by the Tata group resumed service to the Israeli city after a hiatus of almost five months.
After the attack on the Israeli city by the Hamas group on October 7, 2023, Air India ceased operating flights to and from Tel Aviv. Israel and the Hamas group are in negotiations for a potential cease-fire, despite the fact that tensions between the two sides are still very high.
