India’s flag carrier, Air India, is set to inaugurate later this year a new route between its home in Delhi and Ho Chi Minh.

Air India: Delhi – Ho Chi Minh
Inaugurating from June 1, 2024, Air India will operate a five per week service between Delhi and Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam.
The service will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Using the carrier’s Airbus A320neo fleet.
Air India currently has 44 Airbus A320neos in its fleet, and this service will be operated using its two-class configured frames. These have 12 Business Class and 150 Economy Class seats.
The following is the new flight schedule –
- Firstly, flight AI388 leaves Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) at 13:15 p.m. It then arrives into Ho Chi Minh City International Airport (SGN) at 19:55 p.m.
- Secondly, flight AI389 leaves Ho Chi Minh City International Airport (SGN) at 20:55 p.m. It then arrives back into Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) at 00:30 a.m.
However, Ho Chi Minh becomes the Indian’s flag carrier’s fifth Southeast Asia destination. Alongside, Bangkok and Phuket in Thailand, Singapore and Yangon in Myanmar.
Currently, any services between Ho Chi Minh and Delhi are operated by Vietnamese carriers, Vietnam Airlines and VietJet Air. This will be the first time an Indian carrier has operated the route.
