The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) ordered an off-roster of IndiGo pilots on Wednesday, in addition to a detailed investigation after an IndiGo plane hit a stationary Air India Express aircraft at Kolkata Airport.
A senior DGCA official informed that the IndiGo
The official stated that a probe has been ordered, with both pilots of IndiGo being off-rostered. In addition to this, the ground staff would be questioned as part of the investigation process. Both flights involved were grounded to facilitate a detailed inspection.
“The wingtip of a taxiing aircraft of another airline grazed one of our aircraft, which was stationary and awaiting clearance to enter the runway at Kolkata for a scheduled operation to Chennai.
