AI had first suspended Tel Aviv flights after Hamas attacked Israel on Oct 7 last year. The flights were resumed on March 3, only to be stopped again last weekend .
In a statement extending the suspensions, AI cited “the emerging situation in the West Asia”. “We are extending support to our passengers with a one-time waiver on rescheduling and cancellation charges…. at Air India, safety remains top priority.”
Other international carriers have also stopped Israel flights. SWISS has decided to suspend its Zurich-Tel Aviv services till April 25.
