Air India bid adieu as a Boeing 747 takes off for last time from Mumbai.
The aircraft, once registered as VT-EVA and christened “Agra,” departed from Mumbai’s airport for the final time after it was sold to a foreign company.
The Iconic Farewell of Air India B747-400 VT-EVA now re registered as N940AS is the first out of 4 AI B747s which are phased out of service and sold to another company to be scrapped or converted as a freighter.
Today, we wave goodbye to the first of our last Queen of the Skies — the B747 — departing Mumbai. Thank you for an era of majestic flights. We’ll miss your iconic presence.
