After the Phuket-bound
AirAsia flight took off from the Thai capital of
Bangkok, passengers were enjoying their journey in the their cosy seats and everything was normal. But suddenly chaos erupted after some of the passengers discovered a
live snake in an overhead luggage bin. A video of the incident went viral on social media. The small reptile can be seen slithering over the overhead cabin lights above the overhead compartment. A flight attendant was seen trying to capture the snake with a water bottle, before switching to a garbage bag.
AirAsia confirms incident
In a statement sent to CNN, AirAsia Thailand said it was aware of an incident onboard Flight FD3015 that departed Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok on January 13, 2024. The airline said in the statement that the plane was immediately inspected by the relevant engineering and safety teams on the ground.
