Honoring All-Star Strength of Women: AirAsia Philippines Hosts All-Female Flight

Embracing Gender Equality and Inclusivity, AirAsia Philippines has organized an all-female flight to mark the beginning of National Women’s Month and to commemorate International Women’s Day.

With over 700 female Allstars, comprising 37% of the entire AirAsia Philippines workforce, the invaluable contributions of women to the airline’s daily operations cannot be overlooked.

“Gone are the days when women were confined to gender-biased roles. Today, you’ll find them diligently performing tasks as flight engineers, mechanics, ramp agents, and marshallers, never hesitating despite facing challenging conditions,” shares AirAsia CEO Ricky Isla.

Flights Z2-223, Z2-224, Z2-420, and Z2-421 were under the command of Captain Jasmin Timola and First Officer Nicolette Trisha Castaneda, both of whom chose to pursue their careers while being devoted full-time mothers.
