AirAsia Philippines has announced that it will transfer all of its domestic flights from the NAIA Terminals 3 and 4 to NAIA Terminal 2 starting 1 July 2023. The move is part of the Manila International Airport Authority’s (MIAA) schedule and terminal assignment rationalization (STAR) program. The transfer is expected to benefit the traveling community and level up customer experience, as it will provide AirAsia with more space for check-in, boarding gates, baggage carousel, and arrival. AirAsia Philippines CEO Ricky Isla lauded MIAA’s STAR program, stating that “it is the customer experience that we want to champion through this winning move.” The company has already leveraged social media and notifications to ensure all guests are well-guided. AirAsia Philippines reminds guests to allow at least three hours for domestic and four hours for international travel to facilitate seamless check-in procedures. They also advise guests to check in via the airasia Super App, airasia.com, or the self-check-in kiosks at the airport for maximum travel experience.
