AirAsia passengers have expressed their disappointment at the airline’s response to safety concerns following flight delays. The passengers, who were flying from Guangzhou, China to Kuala Lumpur on 1 May, said they were told 30 minutes into the flight that the aircraft needed to return to Guangzhou as a result of air pressure issues. The plane then flew for two hours over Chinese airspace in order to burn fuel before landing at 1.30am. Some of the passengers were informed that their flight would take off at 9:45am the same day but were taken aback to learn that they were boarding the same plane. A group representative said some passengers were upset as they had been told they would travel on a different plane. They have threatened legal action and will lodge a complaint with the Malaysian Aviation Commission.
