PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A flight from Charlotte, NC to Portland was diverted due to a “possible mechanical issue” on Thursday, an American Airlines spokesperson said.
Flight 1849 was diverted to Minneapolis when a possible mechanical issue was reported on board. The flight was landed safely in Minneapolis and taxied to the gate.
The flight was operated with an Airbus A321.
“We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and appreciate our team members for their professionalism,” American Airlines said in a statement. “We are working to re-accommodate our customers on an alternate flight to PDX.”
