American Airlines is enhancing its premium inflight amenities and meals ahead of the busy summer travel season.
The airline is offering a new bedding program, rotating kit designs and high-quality skincare products from well-known and boutique brands.
The new offerings will be onboard over 300 international and transcontinental flights beginning this Memorial Day weekend in Flagship First Class, Flagship Business Class and Premium Economy cabins.
“We thoughtfully curate each element of the onboard experience so every customer can look to the time they spend in flight,” said Kim Cisek, American’s Vice President of Customer Experience. “Part of the magic of travel is connecting our customers to the people and experiences that matter most to them. We’re taking that concept to the skies by introducing a new, dynamic onboard program that’s inspired by feedback from our customers and team members.”
New Amenities
American Airlines’ premium cabin passengers will enjoy a new amenity kit featuring a toothbrush, dental kit, eye mask and earplugs, along with new skincare offerings from beauty retailer Thirteen Lune to offer a selection of rotating products from various lines.
In addition to these, customers will enjoy limited-edition amenity kits created with unique collaborations reflecting specific milestones and initiatives. The first to debut is a celebratory amenity kit by Thirteen Lune, available on eligible flights for a limited time.
Enhanced Dining Offerings
Domestic and international passengers can enjoy new menu selections onboard American Airlines.
Domestic first class travelers can enjoy dishes like shawarma grilled chicken, cheese sacchetti, a Mediterranean vegetable bowl and more.
Business class travelers heading to Europe can enjoy dishes like macadamia crusted sea bass with citrus cream sauce, or tortellini pasta. For those heading to the U.S. from Europe, they’ll enjoy new dishes like chili marinated chicken with mojo verde sauce and beetroot gnocchi.
Upgraded Bedding
Customers traveling in Flagship First Class or Flagship Business Class will enjoy an upgraded bedding experience, complete with a dual-sided pillow with cool touch fabric on one side. Flagship Business Class travelers on international flights will receive a pair of slippers, while Flagship First Class passengers on international flights will enjoy their own set of pajamas.
Customers across all cabins will have access to options like fleece blankets, throws, premium duvets and lumbar pillows.
The majority of American Airlines’s bedding and blankets were made from recycled fibers.
A New Suite Experience
Customers onboard future Boeing 787-9, 777-300 and Airbus A321XLR aircraft can enjoy a redesigned inflight experience.
Premium Economy passengers will enjoy additional storage, privacy headrest wings and wireless charging, while those in Main will enjoy 4K seatback screens, Bluetooth connectivity and more.
Yet the new Flagship Suite seat is the main star of the new aircraft design. The suite configuration offers direct-aisle access, lie-flat seats, ample storage, privacy doors and more. For even more comfort, travelers can upgrade to a Flagship Suite Preferred seat and enjoy Nest Bedding, a mattress pad and an exclusive amenity kit.
