Starting in December, American Airlines will be running direct flights between Dallas Forth Worth and Grand Cayman through the winter period, the Department of Tourism has announced.
Between 5 Dec. and 2 April 2025, American will bring passengers back and forth every day, on the approximately three-hour flight.
At present, the airline currently has weekly service to/from Dallas through May and will have daily service in the summer (starting on 5 June through 10 August). The daily service in the summer started in 2023 and is continuing this year.
The Department of Tourism, in a press release issued Thursday, said it is working closely with American Airlines to promote the route, which has been increased in frequency due to high demand during this period.
Director of Tourism Rosa Harris said in the release: “Dallas has always been an important market for the Cayman Islands and the increase to daily service is a strong indicator that Cayman remains a preferred destination for Texans.
“We value American Airlines’ partnership and the confidence they have in the destination.”
She continued: “We look forward to welcoming new and repeat visitors from Dallas to enjoy what the Cayman Islands has to offer from ringing in the new year on Seven Mile Beach, enjoying Cayman Cookout in January or travelling for a romantic getaway or family vacation.”
Flights are now available to book online at American Airlines or travel websites.
