Black Cow zero-waste vodka in partnership with Sustainaholics and Tourvest Retail Services is now available in a sustainable 100% post-consumer recycled Alumini 5cl bottle, to British Airways short haul passengers flying from London Heathrow.
Black Cow can be pre-ordered or purchased onboard from the High Life Café menu.
This continues the vodka brand’s collaboration with Tourvest Retail Services that started in November 2022.
It is the second recent major UK airline listing for Sustainaholics’ Alumini bottle innovation, leading the shift away from glass and PET to a 100% post-consumer recycled bottle format that reduces its impact on the environment.
The Alumini is a light, ultracompact bottle made from 100% post-consumer recycled European aluminium, infinitely recyclable, and a low carbon, low impact choice. At less than half the weight of glass full (and 90% less empty) the ultra-compact design reduces weight whilst providing the potential to stock and sell more bottles from the restricted spaces available on board.
Black Cow co-founder, Paul Archard said: “We are thrilled to partner with Sustainaholics on this venture. It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase how luxury and sustainability can go hand in hand, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of this movement with our Pure Milk Vodka.”
Sustainaholics founder, David Mills said: “We’re delighted to launch Black Cow’s Alumini on the High Life Café. Black Cow’s zero-waste vodka look stunning in this iconic 100% recycled Alumini design: ultra-smooth vodka from a West Devon farm with authentic provenance, sustainably packaged, beautifully designed and tasting incredible. We now have Aluminis from a wide variety of independent eco-conscious brands listed on two of the biggest airlines in the UK and world, showing the transition to 100% post-consumer recycled aluminium is gathering pace”.
