British Airways has decided to invest in a new partnership with Amadeus, a technology company that provides solutions specifically for airlines and travel agencies. Amadeus Nevio offers solutions to airline companies to boost retailing capabilities with AI Technology.
British Airways Transformative Partnership with Amadeus
British Airways’ recent choice of Amadeus as its technological partner in delivering the best retailing capabilities to improve the traveller experience is commendable. The company has been recognised for 11 years by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and highlighted as a world leader in sustainability. Its services aim to help boost the travel and tourism industry with fantastic solutions centred around the traveller and their future improved experience.
Several airlines are joining and partnering with Amadeus Travel Solutions, among many recognised airlines, such as American Airlines, Norwegian and Etihad Airways.
Vijay Bathija, VP of commercial strategy and enterprise analytics of Etihad Airways, expressed thus:
“As we continue to transform, Amadeus is a very valuable and innovative partner. They provide us the needed global reach to sell our products globally and that help us grow our business.”
In 2022, Lufthansa and Amadeus formed a similar partnership intending to expand the travel distribution and retailing industry, which was marked as another big step toward recognising Amadeus technologies and the trust of the airline companies in partnering with it.
The recently announced partnership between British Airways and Amadeus follows an ambitious plan set by British Airways to become a world leader in airline retailing with the £7 billion investment transformation.
British Airways Chief Commercial Officer Colm Lacy explained further in the following statement:
