Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines recently retired two of its beloved Boeing 757-200 airframes. It comes as the US legacy carrier has been gradually phasing out the jet, along with the 767-300ER, which are the two oldest aircraft types in its fleet.
Delta is the largest passenger operator of the 757, with over 100 active examples. While the two latest retirements were just shy of their 29th birthdays, their listed minimum retirement date is not for another three years.
