Delta Airlines, which suspended flights to Israel on October 7, 2023, after the horrendous attack by Hamas terrorists, will resume daily nonstop service to Tel Aviv (TLV) from New York-JFK. The airline will be operating the route using an Airbus A330-900neo, that will provide customers with nearly 2,000 seats each week from New York to Israel.
The decision to resume the route on June 7, 2024, comes after an extensive security risk assessment by the airline. Delta announced that they will continue to closely monitor the situation in Israel in conjunction with government and private-sector partners.
In recent months, Delta has utilized a codeshare arrangement with EL AL Israel Airlines, in which Delta customers had access to EL AL’s direct services to Tel Aviv from major U.S. cities like New York-JFK, New York-Newark, Boston, Los Angeles, Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
With the reinstatement of Delta’s New York-JFK service, customers will have additional choices as they travel from North America and Israel.
