Delta Air Lines has updated its Medallion Status Match Challenge for 2024, and the successfully completed tiers are valid through January 31, 2026.
Eligible SkyMiles members who hold status with select mainly Star Alliance and Oneworld airlines can get temporary status for 3 months, during which they must meet certain Medallion Qualifying Dollars (MQD) requirements.
You can access this offer on Delta’s website here.
Match Eligibility:
You have not received a Status Match, promotional Medallion Status or complimentary Medallion Status in the past 3 years*, unless the complimentary Medallion Status was through your Million Miler Status
You currently have elite status with a qualifying airline, that was earned through that airline’s published requirements (complimentary status or status earned through a promotion does not qualify)
You are able to present both 1) a valid, current elite physical or digital membership card or credential with your name on it and 2) a statement showing your earned elite status with an airline and the corresponding activity with that airline that made you achieve that Status, with your name on it (for both materials, you may upload a photo, screenshot of your app or computer screen or other file format as long as it clearly shows the required information, your elite status level and your name)
You are a SkyMiles Member who 1) has been enrolled in the SkyMiles Program for at least 30 days prior to enrolling for the Status Match offer and 2) solely for non-U.S. based members, within the last 3 years as a SkyMiles Member have flown on at least 1 Delta-marketed flight (006 ticket stock) on a fare class higher than Basic Economy

I have the highest status with my other airline. Why wasn’t I matched to Diamond Medallion Status?
The Medallion Status Match is only offered for Platinum, Gold and Silver Medallion Tiers.
If I want to extend my Status by meeting the requirements, can I earn higher than the Medallion Tier I was matched to (for example, I was matched to Gold but I want to extend it as Platinum)?
You may only extend the same or lower Medallion Tier as the Tier you were originally matched to. For example, if you are matched to Gold Medallion Status, you will not be able to earn Platinum Medallion Status through this offer. However, if you fall short of meeting the Gold requirements during the 3 months but meet the Silver requirements you can enjoy extended Silver Status based on the dates listed.
I am in the Status Match Challenge. Will I receive physical credentials?
Physical credentials will not be issued during the 3-month complimentary Status period or after the complimentary Status period ends. You can access your Membership Card through the Fly Delta app in My Wallet at any time.
Why can’t I choose my Choice Benefits as a Platinum Medallion Member in this challenge?
Members who are matched to Platinum Medallion Status will not be eligible for Choice Benefits unless the requirements to extend Platinum Medallion Status are met.
