Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:
- The Dallas City Council has voted to try public electric scooters downtown once again. The council included a severability clause in the amendment in case the city grows to regret the decision. (WFAA.com)
- The Dallas City Council will try to tackle redistricting on Monday during a special meeting. The council has been working to approve a redistricting map but has failed multiple times. The map will require 12 votes to be approved. If the council is not able to vote on a map by next Wednesday, then the map that was presented in May will be adopted by default. - Delta Airlines has won the right to operate at Dallas Love Field for another six years. The airline entered into a settlement agreement with the Dallas City Council this week after a long argument with Southwest Airlines. Dallas Love Field’s gates are routinely fought over since the airport is often viewed more favorably by travelers compared to the DFW Airport. (Longview News-Journal)
