Five years ago, Delta Air Lines and Aeromexico launched their Joint Cooperation Agreement (JCA), beginning a transborder alliance that has flown more than 28 million customers in over 250,000 flights. What’s next for this alliance? Let’s investigate further.
Delta and Aeromexico’s JCA
This month marks the fifth anniversary of Delta and Aeromexico’s implementation of their JCA, a transborder alliance that connects the carrier’s networks between the United States and Mexico.
According to both airlines, they have flown over 365 million miles (around 14,663 trips around the world) and operated more than 250,000 flights.
Currently, Delta and Aeromexico offer 43 routes between Mexico and the United States. Los Angeles International Airport is their main gateway to the US, with 35 weekly flights to Mexico City, followed by New York, with 28 weekly flights.
