One aviation enthusiast in Memphis, Tennessee, has taken their love of Delta Air Lines to the next level by recreating the airline’s onboard cabin in their home.
The unique six-bedroom home has been attracting attention online since it was listed for sale, with many potential buyers curious to take a closer look at its distinctive features.
It boasts two of Delta’s classic BusinessElite seats, Delta-branded furnishings and signage, and a pair of inflight service trolleys.
Simple Flying reached out to Delta for comment. The airline said,
“While Delta SkyMiles Members can use their miles to purchase many things, including flights, Delta Gift Cards and upgrades to Delta One seats onboard a flight, a home equipped with our classic BusinessElite seats? That’s an offering we’ve not added.”
How does this compare to Delta’s onboard cabin?
Firstly, it is worth noting that the seats in the Memphis home are Delta’s classic BusinessElite seats, first introduced in 1998 on its Boeing 767-300ER, Boeing 777-200ER and McDonnell Douglas MD-11 aircraft. For its highest service level today, Delta offers either First Class or Delta One, depending on the route and aircraft type. Let’s take a closer look.
The airline’s First Class is available on domestic flights, as well as select short- and medium-haul international flights. Seat width is up to 20.75 inches and seat pitch is up to 40 inches, depending on the aircraft type.
First Class passengers are offered a larger variety of free snacks than those seated in the Main Cabin, as well as free drinks and alcohol. A full meal service is also offered on flights over 900 miles (1,400km).
Delta One – more comfort for longer flights
