Emirates airline has trained over 24,000 baggage handlers and cabin crew on how to assist travelers with hidden disabilities, such as autism, in a bid to make flying a stress-free experience for everyone. The Dubai-based carrier has also rolled out additional measures to help passengers during a flight, including allowing the selection of suitable seats and help boarding. The airline has aimed to facilitate passengers as much as possible, including being able to apply a special DPNA code when booking to give airlines an advanced warning that a passenger with needs will be flying. Dubai International Airport has also implemented measures to help passengers with hidden disabilities, with staff wearing sunflower pins, an international symbol designed to raise awareness of hidden disabilities.
