As August 28, 2021, marks the sixth annual Emirati Women’s Day where we celebrate all the incredible females from the UAE.
This year the theme of the day celebrating UAE women is ‘Women: Ambitions & Inspiration for the Next 50 Years’ as announced by the Mother of the Nation, Sheikha Fatima, earlier this year.
Keeping in line with the nationwide goals of the UAE, the theme reflects the declaration of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE’s of 2021 being the ‘Year of the 50th’.
As we look to the next 50 years in the UAE, Emirates Woman looks back on some of the incredible women we have championed – and will continue to champion. These women from the UAE are the ones paving the way for the next generation of women and are inspiring people not only here, but across the globe.
