Etihad Airways Boosts Connectivity: New Routes and Expanded Operations Unveiled
Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, is set to significantly enhance its global network with the introduction of new routes and an expansion of existing services. The airline will launch services to Boston (BOS), marking its fifth destination in North America. This new route, commencing on October 29, 2024, will operate with three weekly flights using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. This addition provides a crucial gateway for travelers between Abu Dhabi and the New England region, catering to both business and leisure demand.
Further strengthening its presence in Europe, Etihad is increasing frequencies to Rome (FCO) and Milan (MXP) in Italy. From October 27, 2024, Rome will see an additional weekly flight, bringing the total to four weekly services, also operated by the Boeing 787-9. Milan will experience a similar uplift, with operations increasing to four weekly flights from November 3, 2024, utilizing the Boeing 787-9.
Beyond these new and expanded routes, Etihad is also adjusting its schedules for other key destinations. Flights to Jakarta (CGK) will be reduced from five to four weekly services starting October 29, 2024, a strategic adjustment to optimize capacity.
