Flydubai Launches Nairobi Route, Expands to Mombasa

flydubai has launched a new four times weekly route to Nairobi and expanded its services to Mombasa, enhancing access to Kenya’s wildlife and culture. Flights to both Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi and Moi International Airport (MBA) in Mombasa commenced on January 17, 2024. These new services connect passengers from the UAE and beyond to these key Kenyan destinations.

New Routes and Expanded African Network
The introduction of flights to Nairobi and Mombasa underscores flydubai’s commitment to opening underserved markets and expanding connectivity. Nairobi marks the 12th destination flydubai serves in Africa, while Mombasa is the 13th. The airline now operates to a total of 13 destinations across 11 countries on the African continent, strengthening its network in the region. The new routes aim to offer more flexible and convenient travel options, supporting business and leisure travel between the UAE and Kenya, and facilitating trade and tourism. H.E. Isaac Njogu Mwaura, Principal Secretary, State Department for Tourism, Kenya, welcomed flydubai’s new service, highlighting its importance for connecting visitors to Kenya’s safari and beach attractions and supporting economic development.

Travel Experience and Services
Passengers flying with flydubai on these routes can choose between Business Class and Economy Class. Business Class offers a premium product with a comfortable and personalized travel experience. Economy Class Lite provides a comfortable journey with various fare options. All flights to Nairobi and Mombasa operate from Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport (DXB). In addition to passenger services, flydubai will also provide cargo capacity on these new routes, further supporting trade between the regions. These services are part of flydubai’s ongoing efforts to connect passengers to its growing global network.
