flydubai and TAROM Partner to Expand Network
Low-cost carrier flydubai has entered into a codeshare agreement with Romanian national airline TAROM. This partnership aims to enhance travel connectivity between the United Arab Emirates and Romania, as well as expand the reach of both airlines’ networks.
The agreement will allow flydubai to place its marketing code, FZ, on TAROM-operated flights from Bucharest to several destinations. These destinations include popular cities within Romania such as Cluj-Napoca, Iași, and Timișoara, as well as international points like Budapest, and Sofia. This expansion provides flydubai customers with more travel options and greater convenience when traveling to these locations.
In turn, TAROM will place its marketing code, RO, on flydubai-operated flights from Dubai to cities in Africa, Central Asia, and the Indian subcontinent. This strategic move will offer TAROM passengers improved access to a wider range of destinations across these regions, leveraging flydubai’s extensive network.
The partnership is expected to facilitate increased tourism and trade between the UAE and Romania, strengthening the economic ties between the two nations. It underscores flydubai’s commitment to expanding its global reach and offering its customers more choices, while also supporting TAROM in extending its presence beyond its traditional markets.
Both airlines expressed optimism about the collaboration, highlighting the mutual benefits and the enhanced travel experience for their respective customers. This codeshare agreement is part of flydubai’s ongoing strategy to foster strategic partnerships that extend its network and provide seamless travel solutions for its passengers.
