Flydubai Upgrades Economy: Free Meals & Entertainment Standard

Flydubai has announced a significant upgrade to its Economy Class experience, introducing a new fare structure that incorporates complimentary meals and inflight entertainment across all tiers. This enhancement aims to provide more value and simplify the booking process for passengers. The new fare categories are Lite, Value, and Flex, and they will be available for flights booked from Tuesday, 2nd July.

The Lite fare is designed for travellers who prefer to travel with hand baggage only. The Value fare category includes a 20kg checked baggage allowance, a hot meal, and the option for standard seat selection. For passengers seeking greater flexibility, the Flex fare offers a generous 30kg checked baggage allowance, a hot meal, premium seat selection, and the benefit of free changes to bookings.

A key part of the upgrade is the universal inclusion of a complimentary snack or hot meal for all Economy Class passengers, with the specific meal dependent on the flight’s duration. Additionally, all Economy Class fares now feature complimentary inflight entertainment, providing access to a variety of films, TV shows, and games. Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at Flydubai, stated that the airline is committed to improving customer experience through these simplified fare types. Daniel van der Veen, Senior Vice President, Onboard Product at Flydubai, highlighted the expanded complimentary entertainment, free meal offerings, and enhanced seat selection as core components of the new passenger benefits.
