flydubai is on the onset of a busy summer travel season with an average of 8,500 departures scheduled each month from July to September. In addition, the airline has also taken delivery of four new aircraft so far this year, which will be used to boost capacity and help support its network of 102 destinations.

Three million passengers will flydubai
flydubai has been on a roll lately. As global travel demand gradually rises towards pre-pandemic levels, the UAE carrier is positioning itself to take full advantage of the situation. The low-cost airline has recently started/resumed a bunch of routes, including to Taif & AlUla in Saudi Arabia, Pisa & Sicily in Italy, Abha in Saudi Arabia, Batumi in Georgia, and Bodrum, Izmir, & Trabzon in Turkey, among others.

All in all, flydubai will operate 8,500 departures per month and expects to ferry around three million passengers over the summer. Both these figures are higher than pre-COVID numbers, signaling a solid recovery after around two years of grave uncertainty.
