IAG Joins Clients Nikki Sixx And Five Finger Death Punch In Support Of Covenant House – Pollstar News

Independent Artist Group announced it is financially supporting Covenant House in its mission of supporting youth and young families facing homelessness. IAG follows the example set by clients Nikki Sixx and Five Finger Death Punch, who are longtime supports of the nonprofit.

Covenant House is the largest such organization, with 34 locations in North and Central America dedicated to helping youth and young families facing homelessness survive, rebuild their lives, and thrive. 

IAG has made a long-term financial commitment and IAG employees will dedicate a great deal of time and effort through volunteer programs and service days at their Los Angeles site of Covenant House, helping them fulfill their mission and goals.

Covenant House provides young people facing homelessness with sanctuary and immediate and ongoing care for their physical and mental health issues and needs. Their trauma-informed, strength-based programming is designed to help them learn how to navigate and heal from the effects of homelessness as they advance toward a healthy and independent future, according to the announcement..

“Our eyes were opened to Covenant House by our clients Nikki Sixx and Five Finger Death Punch, and once we saw the amazing and necessary work that this organization does, it connected perfectly with our core values and inspired us to join them in making a significant difference in the lives of young people,” said Jim Osborne, CEO of IAG. “Our plan is to also provide internships leading to jobs that help launch careers.”

Most recently, Five Finger Death Punch partnered with Covenant House in conjunction with their song and video release, “Judgement Day.” In November 2023, the band partnered with Covenant House on occasion of National Runaway Prevention Month and used their platform to encourage fans to learn about the issue, seek support, share resources with friends in need, get involved, and make a difference. 

Five Finger Death Punch also announced they will be donating a portion of their forthcoming ticket sales to Covenant House. In 2007, Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx donated significant proceeds from his bestselling book, “The Heroin Diaries,” to Covenant House which enabled the Los Angeles branch to start a music program for its residents, complete with a fully equipped music space and full time music teacher. Sixx has been an active supporter of Covenant House ever since and has tied the cause into numerous of his creative endeavors over the years. He also continues to bring awareness to the ongoing crisis of at-risk youth through his massive social media following. Having struggled with youth homelessness himself at a young age, lending support to Covenant House continues to be a cause close to Sixx’ heart.  

“When I was young, music saved my life,” Sixx said in a statement. “Covenant house works with at risk youth to help save their lives. That is why I donated money from my book the Heroin Diaries to Covenant house, and through that awareness and donation they were able to build a music room to help give these at risk youth a place to go and begin to heal”.
