IAG Cargo has announced that it will set fees for paper air waybills starting from April. In an effort to encourage digitalization and improve efficiency, the company will charge £12 per paper air waybill. IAG Cargo acknowledges that paper-based processes still exist in some parts of the industry, but it is committed to pushing towards a more sustainable and streamlined approach. IAG Cargo’s paper air waybill fee will apply to all shipments worldwide and will be processed through existing invoicing channels. The company has also implemented a range of other digital solutions, such as smart booking systems and real-time cargo tracking, to improve customer experience and reduce operational costs.
