Iberia, the Spanish airline owned by International Airlines Group (IAG), plans to hire 2,145 staff in the first half of this year, in preparation for the Easter travel rush and the summer season. Of the total new employees, the airline will take on 100 pilots, 442 flight attendants and the rest will be ground staff. This comes as Spanish airports recover faster than most other European airports, with passenger traffic surpassing pre-pandemic levels in January, according to airport representative group ACI Europe.
