Spanish airline Iberia, owned by International Airlines Group (IAG), has appointed Fernando Candela as their interim CEO following the resignation of previous CEO Luis Gallego. Candela joined Iberia in 2013 and was most recently the airline’s chief commercial officer. Iberia’s parent company, IAG, also owns British Airways, Aer Lingus, and Vueling. Iberia has been severely impacted by COVID-19, with the airline operating at a fraction of its normal capacity.
