Indian airline Go First, formerly known as GoAir, has filed for bankruptcy as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to affect the aviation industry. The low-cost carrier had already been struggling financially prior to the pandemic, and had been sending employees on leave without pay. Following the news, hundreds of Go First employees, including pilots, are said to be frantically trying to secure jobs with other airlines such as IndiGo and Air India. Go First had close to 740 pilots, and its airworthy fleet of Airbus A320neo planes is of interest to the two airlines, both of which also use the same aircraft.
