A pensioner who said that a “holiday from hell” in Turkey left him with Legionnaires’ disease is suing a travel company for £20,000.
Keith Tidman, 68, told a court that his experience at the four-star Sun City Hotel and Beach Club in Olu Deniz had been “terrifying” and resulted in his admission to intensive care.
“It was the holiday from hell,” Tidman, who returned to his London home in a wheelchair, said in a statement at a pre-trial hearing. “I needed help from my family throughout to do even the simplest tasks.
“It was terrifying to be so unwell so far from home, a frightening experience for all, particularly the children — my youngest grandchild is three.”
