Jet2 said it’s expecting a “surge in demand” for holidays to Jersey this summer amid the latest restrictions.
In an update on June 9, it welcomed updated requirements for visitors to the island, noting that the guidance demonstrates that Jersey is “very much open” to holidaymakers from the UK this summer.
It said: “The advice makes it clear that because Jersey is part of the UK Common Travel Area (CTA), there is no need for green or amber arrival customers to have a PCR test before leaving the UK or for them to quarantine when returning to the UK.”
The travel provider said it’s now expecting to see “a surge in demand,” with Jet2.com and Jet2Holidays having “significantly” expanded their upcoming flights and holidays programmes to this destination.
Flights to Jersey will depart from six bases in the UK throughout the summer including three weekly services operating from Manchester Airport and two weekly services from London Stansted Airport.
Jet2 is set to resume its services to Jersey from June 24. It won’t be operating flights and holidays to other destinations until July 1 at the earliest though, with travel to Turkey restarting from July 22.
The restrictions
The Government of Jersey website details the current restrictions that apply to holidaymakers from the UK.
It’s important to note that the following rules are subject to change. You should check any restrictions directly yourself with the relevant authorities and resources prior to any booking and subsequent travel.
This includes all passengers aged 11 or over having to complete a travel form in the 48 hours before arrival. It requires contact information, a declaration of health, recent travel history and a number of other details.
