Airlines have been forced to voice their anger about the recent changes of the Government’s traffic light travel list.
The Government announced the recent changes to the red, amber and green list on July 14 which saw the Balearic Islands move to the amber list once again.
In addition, other countries such as Cuba and Indonesia were added to the red list and Croatia and Hong Kong were added to the green list.

However, the changes have seen a huge amounts of anger from airlines including easyJet and Jet2 as well as the ABTA – The Travel Association.
Jet2 chief executive Steve Heapy called it “frustrating”.
He said: “It is frustrating that decisions continue to be made about international travel whilst the criteria for these decisions are withheld from us.
“Once again, we call on governments to be transparent, both with the data and their parameters for making decisions.”
A spokesperson for ABTA – The Travel Association, which represents airlines across the UK, also blasted the Government’s decision calling it a “step back”.
They said: ““Thousands of travel jobs and businesses are in desperate need of a successful summer season, and this further emphasises the urgent need for tailored financial support for a sector that has struggled to make any meaningful revenue for almost 18 months now,” they said.
“Helpfully, from Monday, fully-vaccinated travellers returning to England, Scotland and Wales from amber list countries will no longer need to self-isolate or take an additional test on day eight, so this will minimise the disruption for vaccinated holidaymakers, but quarantine for non-vaccinated travellers remains a significant obstacle.
