All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Japan Airlines (JAL) have announced their international flight operations plans for the summer 2025 schedule, which runs from March 30 to October 25, 2025. The schedules include multiple route suspensions and frequency adjustments, primarily on European routes, influenced by the ongoing situation in Russia and Ukraine that necessitates circumnavigating Russian airspace.
ANA Route Changes
ANA will continue the suspension of several European routes. Flights from Tokyo/Haneda to Vienna, Stockholm, and Milan will remain suspended, as will the Tokyo/Narita to Brussels service. Additionally, the Tokyo/Narita to Vladivostok and Moscow routes will not operate.
In contrast, the airline will maintain daily flights from Tokyo/Haneda to Munich and Paris, and will operate twice-daily flights from Tokyo/Haneda to London and Frankfurt.
For its North American network, ANA plans to resume the Tokyo/Haneda to Houston route with daily flights. However, the Tokyo/Narita to Chicago route will be suspended.
JAL Schedule Adjustments
Japan Airlines will also continue the suspension of its Tokyo/Narita to Moscow route. Furthermore, JAL will suspend its Tokyo/Narita to Frankfurt service.
Regarding European services from Tokyo/Haneda, JAL will operate daily flights to London and Paris. The airline will also increase the frequency of its Tokyo/Haneda to Helsinki route to daily flights.
