Doha, Qatar – February 5, 2025 – Qatar Airways, a global leader in aviation, has announced a significant expansion of its network, introducing new routes and increasing frequencies to key destinations. The airline’s ambitious growth strategy sees the launch of direct services to Toulouse, France, a city renowned for its aerospace industry and rich cultural heritage. This new route, commencing on July 22, 2025, will operate three times a week, utilizing the modern Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The introduction of the Toulouse service not only expands Qatar Airways’ European footprint but also caters to the growing demand for business and leisure travel between the Middle East and Southwest France.
In addition to the Toulouse launch, Qatar Airways is bolstering its presence in Abuja, Nigeria, by increasing its flight frequency from three to five weekly services, effective January 31, 2025. This enhancement reflects the airline’s recognition of Abuja’s burgeoning economic importance and the increasing travel demand to and from Nigeria’s capital.
Further demonstrating its dedication to the African continent, the airline is also increasing frequencies to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 10 to 12 weekly flights, starting March 3, 2025. The expanded network is complemented by a strengthened presence in Asia, with Phuket, Thailand, seeing an increase in services from 10 to 14 weekly flights, effective February 2, 2025. This move aims to capitalize on the enduring popularity of Phuket as a premier tourist destination.
