Korean Air has sent a Boeing 777F cargo plane from Incheon to Istanbul to transport 45 tonnes of relief goods, including tents, sleeping bags and blankets, free of charge to earthquake victims in Turkey. The supplies were delivered through the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) of Turkey. Korean Air has previously provided charitable relief to Nepal in 2015, Fiji in 2016, Peru in 2017 and Laos in 2018, after they were hit by natural or manmade disasters. The carrier aims to play a leading role in overseas emergency relief activities and participate in humanitarian support in the future.
